Hi Jackie
Stuck here in Madeira with a 5 hour delay back to Bristol. Have enjoyed reading through your pages and those of the Working Clumber Spaniel Society site. Keep up the hard work!

Well I presume you were at least having some warm and dry weather. Hope your flight is fine when you get it!

You're website is fantastic and very informative. I have owned Goldens and a Bernese Mountain Dog. Lost all 3 in a year and a half, Goldens were 13, BMD was 9. Have always loved the Clumbers and your's are magnificent. My interest in them is certainly peaked.

A great site - the hipscores are interesting, I wish I had known this before getting my bitch whose hipscore is too high to breed from!
I will do a lot of research before we get our next clumber.
Thanks

Jackie Friday, 18 August 2006 06:06
Sorry to hear that your Clumber has a very high score. Only by education and future puppy owners insisting on puppies from low scoring stock only, will there be any hope for more breeders to do something about it and score their dogs and only breed from low scoring dogs - it is possible !.

I enjoyed your site. I am just starting to look into the breed. I've had Cockers and I have 3 Saint Bernards now. I am contemplating a Clumber in the future.
